(September 7, 2000) -- Lightning struck at the American Council of Trustees and Alumni this summer when Dick Cheney and Joe Lieberman were picked for the Number Two positions on the Presidential ticket. Lynne Cheney is ACTA’s National Chairman and Lieberman serves as a member of ACTA’s National Council.

Over the years, both Cheney and Lieberman have been strong supporters of improved academic standards and greater accountability in the higher education community—issues that inspire ACTA’ activities.
