Associate Director of Curricular Improvement
As the Associate Director of Curricular Improvement, Nathaniel assists the Vice President of Curricular Improvement with the management and expansion of the What Will They Learn?™ project. Prior to his current role, Nathaniel spent two summers conducting research for the What Will They Learn?™ project as an intern for ACTA. He graduated from Ashland University in 2018 with a double major in public relations and strategic communication and minor studies in political science, history, and religion. He also graduated as a member of Ashland University’s Ashbrook Scholar program, where he defended his senior thesis titled “Liberal Arts Education and the Character of a Nation.” His thesis looked closely at John Henry Newman’s The Idea of a University and Thomas Jefferson’s establishment of the University of Virginia in order to defend the value of a liberal arts education. Ashland University’s Core Advisory Council invited Nathaniel to present pieces of his research a month prior to his defense. In his spare time, Nathaniel enjoys reading the Great Books, visiting the Smithsonian museums, and watching his younger brother play football for the Northwestern University Wildcats.
