Ted Eismeier leads ACTA’s communications team, directing the organization’s efforts to communicate the concerns of trustees and alumni and elevate issues of academic freedom, excellence, and accountability in higher education. Prior to joining ACTA, Ted served as an associate vice president for Whiteboard Advisors, a boutique strategy and communications firm that focuses on K–12 and postsecondary education. A veteran of large-scale issue campaigns focused on education and public policy, he has provided communications counsel to institutions of higher education, entrepreneurs, and nonprofit organizations focused on improving quality, efficiency, and student outcomes in education. He is a graduate of Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, with a B.A. in history. In the community, he serves as a fellow with the Board of Trustees at Paul Public Charter School, a top-tier charter middle and high school that emphasizes liberal education and international study. Ted is a resident of Washington, DC, and enjoys listening to live music, traveling to new places, and rooting for the New York Yankees and Giants in his spare time.
