Higher Ed News Roundup: Common Sense University Governance

The Oklahoman's editorial board praised Governance for a New Era noting that its proposals were "rooted in common sense."

UC Berkeley says an email calling for curbing of uncivil speech was meant to institute a norm, not a rule. The question remains why UC administrators think a norm against open thought and expression belongs on a college campus.

Princeton, in response to Title IX action, is lowering the evidence standard used in the university's sexual assault adjudication procedures, leveling another blow to due process.

The US News and World Report college rankings for 2015 have been released. Reputation remains a factor as Princeton, Yale, and Harvard are named top three.
