On June 13, ACTA president Anne Neal testified before Congress on how accreditation fails to ensure academic quality and drives up costs. ACTA and FIRE opposed new federal sexual harassment guidelines threatening free speech, urging careful review by colleges. Our Florida Rising report highlights progress but calls for stronger core curricula and free speech protections. ACTA also released a trustee guide on standardized testing and urged Swarthmore trustees to defend academic freedom after a disruptive board meeting.
