ACTA continues the fight against “bias response teams” that suppress dissent and chill open inquiry. Our updated State Rankings Project reveals wide disparities in administrative spending and academic quality across all 50 states. ACTA also supports Supreme Court challenges to race-based admissions and applauds Tennessee’s creation of a new Institute of American Civics. We also expand our College Debates program nationwide, while ACTA’s voice is featured in the Washington Post and Wall Street Journal on key issues in higher education.

ACTA celebrates a victory for free expression with the University of Texas–Austin’s decision to disband its bias response team following a legal challenge from Speech First. On Capitol Hill, Representative Greg Murphy cited ACTA’s research on administrative bloat in higher education during a speech before Congress and in the Washington Examiner. ACTA is also pleased to announce that The King’s College has earned an “A” in our What Will They Learn? project for its well-rounded core curriculum.
