Doug Sprei

Vice President of Campus Partnerships and co-founder and Director of the College Debates and Discourse (CD&D) Alliance

Doug Sprei is ACTA’s Vice President of Campus Partnerships and co-founder and Director of the College Debates and Discourse (CD&D) Alliance between ACTA, Braver Angels, and BridgeUSA. He leads a widely respected program that teaches students to honor ideological diversity, foster civil discourse on college campuses, and cultivate student and faculty leaders to carry the movement forward. Since the program’s inception in 2018, the CD&D team has launched more than 560 campus/classroom debates and dialogues, engaging 23,000+ students from 127+ college institutions nationwide. Doug also produces ACTA’s “Higher Ed Now” podcast and serves on the organization’s leadership team, shaping events and programming around building a culture of free expression on America’s college campuses.
