Program Associate for Campus Freedom
Emma joined ACTA in August of 2025 as the Program Associate for Campus Freedom. In this role, she works with the Campus Freedom Initiative, promoting free expression at colleges and universities across America and conducting research for ACTA’s Gold Standard for Freedom of Expression™.
Emma graduated from Abilene Christian University Magna Cum Laude with her B.A. in Political Science, minoring in Public Service and Legal Studies. She was awarded the Class of 2024’s Honor Woman, a distinction given to one female graduate for displaying “exemplary character, outstanding academic achievement, and behavior epitomizing the ideal student.” At ACU, she led her school’s Honors College as Leadership Liaison, interned for her local congressman in both his district and DC offices, and interned in Accra, Ghana, for the Pepperdine Sudreau Global Justice Institute.
Before joining ACTA, Emma pursued a certificate in Education Policy from Pepperdine University and interned for the Heritage Foundation’s Education Policy department. Currently, she is earning an MPS in Legislative Affairs from George Washington University. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading Jane Austen, and hosting dinners for friends.
