Program Manager for Academic Affairs
Jeffrey manages the What Will They Learn?® program and helps communicate ACTA’s mission of higher education reform through op-eds, blogs and articles. He collaborates with the Academic Affairs team on What Will They Learn?® and other curricular initiatives like Hidden Gems.
Jeffrey is enthusiastic about writing, having published articles in outlets like Time and The National Interest. Before joining ACTA, Jeffrey worked as freelancer for the Hertog Foundation and program coordinator at Northeastern University where he managed reporting on major defense department grants. He earned a Ph.D. in ancient history from the University of Groningen with a dissertation on political culture in the late Roman empire for which he received the OIKOS PhD award. He also has an MA (ancient history) from Groningen and a BA (classics) from the University of Toronto (Trinity College).
In his spare time, Jeffrey is an avid runner but also likes to ski and travel, having visited more than 40 countries. He’s also an unapologetic Boston sports fan.
