TIME Magazine’s October 7 cover story highlighted ACTA’s research on civic illiteracy and our call for stronger core curricula. ACTA advanced our accreditation reform agenda at a joint forum with AEI, celebrated Bluefield College’s improved general education program, and addressed the crisis in historical literacy at events in Indiana and Florida. At the 2013 ATHENA Roundtable at George Washington’s Mount Vernon, national leaders explored topics of academic freedom and the future of liberal education.
