ACTA Named a Sunmark Foundation “Preferred Partner”!

June 29, 2015

Once again, ACTA has been named a Sunmark Foundation “Preferred Partner”! This is the second consecutive year that the St. Louis-based Sunmark Foundation has partnered with ACTA.

In recognizing ACTA, Sunmark Foundation trustee Menlo Smith specifically cited ACTA’s dedication to preserving our nation’s Constitution and founding principles through efforts to reform higher education. Furthermore, he noted, ACTA pursues its mission while consistently practicing “prudent stewardship” and responsibly using our resources. (We are trying to set an example for colleges after all!) The Sunmark Foundation also included the “establishment of meaningful, measureable objectives” as worthy of note. This is something we urge trustees to do as they fulfill their fiduciary duties.

We are excited to be recognized as an organization whose policies are reflected not only in our publications, but also in our practices. We are honored to work with the Sunmark Foundation again. And we are grateful for its generous support. It is through contributions from individual donors and charitable foundations that ACTA is able to continue its tireless effort to strengthen our nation’s colleges and universities.

WHO WE ARE

Launched in 1995, we are the only organization that works with alumni, donors, trustees, and education leaders across the United States to support liberal arts education, uphold high academic standards, safeguard the free exchange of ideas on campus, and ensure that the next generation receives an intellectually rich, high-quality college education at an affordable price.
