Pine Manor College, a small liberal arts school in Massachusetts, has responded to the intense financial and operational pressures of the COVID-19 pandemic in a unique way:  by partnering with nearby Boston College to become the Pine Manor Institute for Student Success. Peter Alcock, a Pine Manor trustee who has been a key driver of positioning PMC for this initiative, sat down with ACTA’s Armand Alacbay to share lessons learned that will prove instructive for many other institutions around the country.

Launched in 1995, we are the only organization that works with alumni, donors, trustees, and education leaders across the United States to support liberal arts education, uphold high academic standards, safeguard the free exchange of ideas on campus, and ensure that the next generation receives an intellectually rich, high-quality college education at an affordable price.
