Defending Virginia’s Hallmark: Free Speech and Inquiry in Education

Keynote remarks at the 2023 Alumni Summit on Free Expression
April 14, 2023 by Aimee Rogstad Guidera

“For any change to be lasting it needs three critical components: awareness of a need to change, a desire for change, and knowledge of how to make that change. That is the work that ACTA and AFSA and each of you are leading.  Through your tools, your research, your advocacy, your bully pulpits—you are building awareness, urgency, and actions to make this change possible.”

–Virginia Secretary of Education Aimee Rogstad Guidera
