A Look at Mississippi's Public Colleges and Universities
February 3, 2020 by ACTA and Mississippi Center for Public Policy Download PDF Press Release

ACTA’s 12th state higher education report examines questions of great urgency for the state of Mississippi: How should individual public universities choose their leadership? Are the public universities careful stewards of taxpayer dollars? Is free speech protected on Mississippi’s college campuses? The report assesses institutions on measures of academic strength, intellectual diversity, cost effectiveness, and governance to make compelling recommendations for the future of the state’s higher education system.

Launched in 1995, we are the only organization that works with alumni, donors, trustees, and education leaders across the United States to support liberal arts education, uphold high academic standards, safeguard the free exchange of ideas on campus, and ensure that the next generation receives an intellectually rich, high-quality college education at an affordable price.
