Tom Rollins to Receive 2012 Philip Merrill Prize

The American Council of Trustees and Alumni is proud to announce the selection of Thomas M. Rollins, founder of The Teaching Company, as the recipient of the 2012 Philip Merrill Award for Outstanding Contributions to Liberal Arts Education. The award, which will be presented by ACTA at the 2012 ATHENA Roundtable Nov. 9, honors individuals who advance liberal arts education, core curricula, and the teaching of Western civilization and American history.

A Selection Committee composed of distinguished educational and civic leaders advises on the selection of the nominee.
