ACTA’s 2023 ATHENA Roundtable explored the enduring relevance of Enlightenment values, honoring Professor Alan Charles Kors with the Merrill Award and Dr. Carole Hooven as Hero of Intellectual Freedom. ACTA experts advanced the national conversation on higher ed reform through a featured series in the Washington Examiner. In Ohio, ACTA led a first of its kind trustee symposium, promoting strong governance and intellectual diversity, and later honored UNC–Chapel Hill’s board with the Martin Prize for exemplary leadership. These efforts reflect ACTA’s continued impact across policy, governance, and campus culture.
