Alan A. Shuch

Alan Shuch is a retired partner and Senior Director of Goldman Sachs where he worked from 1976-2016. He held several senior management positions in Fixed Income Trading, Sales and Research, founded and headed the High Yield Bond Department and served on several firm-wide executive committees and investment boards. Mr. Shuch was a co-founder of Goldman Sachs Asset Management and served as it’s President and Chief Operating Officer.

His current and previous board affiliations include the New York Historical Society, Wharton Graduate Executive Board, Kent Place School, Society of the Four Arts and the Museum of Jewish Heritage. He is also associated with several nonprofit policy research organizations.

Mr. Shuch received his undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Hartford (summa cum laude and University Scholar) in 1971 and his MBA from the Wharton School-University of Pennsylvania in 1976.

He is married to Leslie W. Himmel, a NYC real estate developer. They have four children and two grandchildren.
