Kayla Johnston

Program Manager for College Debates & Discourse Alliance

Kayla Johnston joined ACTA in January 2024 and currently serves as Program Manager for the College Debates and Discourse Alliance. She works closely with students, faculty, and campus allies to plan, organize, and host debates and dialogue workshops at colleges and universities across the U.S. Kayla earned an A.A. from Guilford Technical Community College before going on to graduate summa cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in History. She also holds a Master of Public Affairs (MPA) from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Kayla currently lives in Kernersville, North Carolina, where she enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, and spending time exploring the outdoors with her family.
